Testing and certification
The combination of smart design and experience in the production of composite products makes CTC stand out. A good design is one thing but it must also be producible. The CTC people are creative, innovative and realistic. Utilizing specialized software they provide an appropriate design. In consultation with you, CTC will supervise the production and implementation of your order. In support of this, CTC has its own workshop and laboratory for conducting tests.
No more material than necessary
A good design takes into account the variations in material properties and production circumstances. It allows for tolerances that are sufficient to produce the product at acceptable costs. The better substantiated, the lighter the design, the lower the cost price of the product. CTC has its own workshop. We produce test panels there under well defined conditions. In our own test laboratory we can determine the properties of the product ourselves. This makes us independent of public data or data supplied by manufacturers.
Feasibility
Often more than one solution is possible in order to construct a product. On paper many are suitable but as far as producibility goes there are often considerable differences. In order to make the best choices, CTC carries out tests in its own workshop. Usually this concerns process simulations in which we compare various circumstances, combinations of materials and/or constructions with each other.

CTC”s material specialists watch the market continually. They’re always looking for the latest developments. They maintain close contact with the manufacturers of raw materials. New materials are exhaustively tested. Over the years this has given CTC considerable insight into the properties of materials. CTC has a unique database at its disposal. We regularly add valuable information for the substantiation and improvement of every new design. The specifications of materials yielded by our design work cover a sufficient supply of readily available materials.
Verification
Reliable material data is important input for a design. However, ultimately software is only an aid to design. An instrument, to model properties, failure mechanisms and loads. For critical details in the design it is necessary to prove that the theory and reality match. For example, for a construction transition or joint. CTC takes care of this verification in its own workshop and laboratory. CTC’s database is composed of important information concerning construction and material properties.

Certification
In certain markets it is necessary to have a design certified externally according to internationally recognized standards. CTC has extensive experience in this. Part of the certification is a test of the prototype true to scale. The load on the product must be the same load as in reality. The execution of this is carried out in specialized laboratories. CTC determines how the test is to be carried out and supervises its execution. We analyze the results in the light of the design and the applicable standards and guidelines. Finally we tender the design and the test results for certification. In consultation CTC supervises the whole process until certification is achieved.
Externally tested.
Often the certifying authority demands that the properties of materials and construction details are determined by an accredited and independent laboratory. Apart from its own database, CTC has a database of externally tested properties. These have already been accepted by certifying authorities.
